Marie is a road warrior at heart, finding comfort between the blur of dotted lines and passing state welcome signs.  A dog-disappointing shot, laughing as coveys rise, shots ring, and her dogs’ eyes roll.  An avid story collector & average writer, meeting friends, new & old, along dirt roads reveling in tales of old bird dogs & empty shells around a sunset lit tailgate with a good bottle of whiskey as laughter falls on deaf ears of airing dogs. 

 

October to January she can be found on the road hunting and mentoring/guiding hunts with her personal pack of 7 dogs sitting in a duck blind or walking the fields & forests. 

 

Marie is the owner of Silver Lion Kennels based in NH– training companion gun dogs and enjoying getting new people in the woods, waters, and fields with their dogs.  She competes in AKC, HRC, NAVHDA, and VHDF circuits with her personal dogs and is a vet tech on the side.  Along with training gun dogs, she volunteers as a K9 decoy and helps train local K9 units in her free time.
